HEY TUMBLR, LET’S PLAY A GAME
To play this game, go to MapCrunch, select “hide location”, make sure you have all countries unselected, and click go. What this will do is drop you in a random part of the world. It’s as if you woke up on the side of a road in an unfamiliar country. The goal of the game is to find your way to an airport so you can return home.
Bonus Hard Mode: No using outside sources, and that includes using google maps to figure out your location from signs or landmarks

I did this and it dropped me off in Key West, Florida.
So. I guess I’ll just call my dad to pick me up in his boat.
ETA: I told it to drop me somewhere in the Czech Republic and it actually dropped me off really close to Brno’s airport. I was like, “No prob!” except… the road that leads to Brno’s airport doesn’t have Google Streetview.
Fail.

Okay this thing must like me or something. I try again, it sends me to Switzerland and there’s literally a sign right there pointing to the airport. I tell it to send me somewhere else in the Czech Republic - it sends me to a street in Brno that I have actually been to. Like. I know exactly where that is.
It also sent me to a field in Spain that didn’t actually seem to have a road leading out of it, and a tunnel in Taiwan that I don’t think actually had an end. But.

Ended up in Central Finland and couldn’t get out. Had what felt like a great road-trip though. Lovely scenery.
